Reports: Kurti government proposes Veton Surroi for this position

The document says Surroi is known in the region for his dedication to peace, as well as for the European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Southeast European peoples.
It is also said that in the past three decades, Surroi has, among other things, shown his capacities as founder and publicist of the newspaper “Daytime”, as well as participants in the Rambouille negotiations process in 1999.
Surroi has been the deputy of the Kosovo Assembly from 2004 to 2007, while from April 2021 he is a government adviser in negotiations on normalising relations between Serbia and Kosovo. The Office of the Regional Co-operation Council is headed by a political adviser appointed by the prime minister and also serves as the National Co-ordinator for the RCC.
