Meanwhile, only 5 of them have made profits in the amount of 3.3m euros.
The data was published by Vlora Spanca, the General Adviser of the National Audition Office.
It stated that by auditing, it turns out that the biggest losses were scored in Kosovo Telecom, where during 2021 this public company lost 10.8m euros financially.
The loss in Telekom was 66% of the total loss”, Spanka said at the media conference.
Furthermore, the General Auditor stated that in the auditing of performance in RTK, poor control of regular staff management has been recorded, disregarding the board's decisions by RTK's own management.
This cost him RTK's financial mismanagement for three years, worth about 800 thousand euros”, Spanka said.
She explained that irregularities have resulted in lack of accountability, transparency and competition in managing public funds.
During the past year, however, public companies scored profits, such as Thermokos.
The largest “has realised the 1.9m-euro termos, or about 49% of the total amount of profits”, Spanka said.
Spanca also spoke of shortcomings that have been observed in the plants.
She said the National Research Office has shown that from financial analysis, including profit and loss, during the year 2021 most public companies operated at losses.
The National Audition Office had planned for 134 audits for 2021. By June 30th 2022, this office has submitted 121 such reports, all published and accessible to the public.
Of them, 110 are financial audits and 11 are performing.
