The pro-Prosecutor ruling causes trouble to Thaci: His defense cancels several interviews with witnesses

The preliminary judge, among other things, recently approved the witness interview manual, accepting the prosecution's request to be present or to have access when defence lawyers interview witnesses.
Under the decision, this may be done on a request from the court.
Thaci's lawyer, Gregory Keohe, has announced that as a result of such a protocol imposed by the preliminary judge, he has been forced to cancel several interviews with witnesses.
This was after the witnesses in question had agreed to meet with protection without any conditions.
The defense is continuing the investigation. However, as previously foretold, investigations remain hampered by a series of factors outside defence control and will be significantly influenced by the recent implementation of “Cornise for dealing with confidential information during investigations and contact between a pale or participants and witnesses of the opposing side or of a participant (“Protocol of witness”). Because of this Witness Protocol, the defence had to cancel some planned interviews of prosecution witnesses who were willing to meet with the Protection free of any conditions, Thaci's lawyer, Gregory Keohe, has said.
“Preparing for the proposed deposit has been severely delayed by the application of the Witnesses' Protocol because of the level of preparation, organisation and co-ordination now required for interactions with witnesses falling within its parameters. Defense cannot propose any real date for prosecution interviews without speaking to the witness. Summer break begins in a few days, and this holiday period makes it more difficult for each interview with witness”, Thaci's lawyer said on a parachute that has seen the news.net.
These details, Thaci's attorney has made it known to him in the letter he sent before the session held today, which will be a conference on the progress of the case.
This case will be discussed right today between lawyers, prosecutors and judges of the preliminary procedure.
