These are the two most polluted rivers in Kosovo

The Drenica and Sitnica rivers belong to moderate (polluted) status.

This was fulfilled on the basis of laboratory results for the quality of water in these two rivers.

These tests were conducted under the campaign #CleanWaterCrisis (#CrizaPa r Water The Clean that non-governmental P organisation EN (Peer Educators Netaork).

Under the European directive for surface water, the Drenica River belongs to moderate (polluted) status. While at the source of the river the quality of water is of good status, this quality falls dramatically along the riverbed, being contaminated mainly by sewage ... Based on the European directive for surface waters, the Sitnica River belongs to moderate (polluting) status.
