This war cannot be won in this form”, Orban said, speaking in the presence of Austrian Chancellor Carl Nehammer in Vienna. Orban added that NATO's support strategy with weapons for Ukraine and training “so far has shown it will not lead to success”.
“Without changing strategy, there will be no peace”, he said, warning that without peace in Ukraine, the entire European Union “will be pushed towards the situation of war”
“It is not clear how a recession in the European Union can be avoided if the war continues”, Orban added.
Both leaders opposed the possibility of a European Union embargo on Russian gas.
