Memli Krasniqi publishes rare RTP occupation video by Serbian forces

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has commemorated July 5th of 1990, when Serbian forces had occupied Pristina Radio Television. Krasniqi, on the social network Facebook, has said that the images of the brutal behaviour of the Serbian police on July 5th 1990, during the implementation of violent measures against Pristina Radio Television by the government of Serbia, the first Albanian-language media, are the mirror of thinking that marked the beginning of the end of the occupation.

“Sulmet to the free speech of the Albanian-language media and the creation of intelligence darkness, with unprecedented expectations of Serbia's then government, proved freedom was not far away. The RTP's influence at the time was enormous, so, even today, we express respect for all those women and men who created the culture of communication with citizens, by embossing with words and with vital interest in resistance to liberation.”, Chairman Krasniqi said.
