He has said that his wife teaches in the Anthropology department since 2018 and that she has never influenced her employment, nor as a professor in the UpP, nor as an MP.
He has said he challenges anyone with evidence that he has influenced his wife's employment, publishes them, and if it turns out to be, he will resign from public office.
I tell you with full responsibility that if you find only one member of the commission or council/management who has talked to me about this case I am able to resign from each public position”, MP Ukaj wrote.
Ukaj, who is also a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, has sought vetoation in the education system and at Pristina University.
