In a column about The Telegraph she said:
It's not fair to tax now. I would cancel the growth of the National Insurance that came during April, make sure that we keep the corporate competitiveness tax so that we can attract businesses and investments in Britain, and place Covid's debt on a long-term basis.
I will make the private sector grow faster than the public sector, with a long-term plan to reduce state size and tax burden.
She added: “We must match the British people. Times are difficult, but with the right economic action and plan, we will soon get back on track.
