Only 59 MPs participated in the vote. The opposition was in session but didn't do the quorum.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo has demanded that doctors and professors leave the obligation to declare wealth.
PDK Parliamentary Group chief Abelard Tahiri has said that if these categories do not leave the Bill, then his party will not vote on it.
On the other hand, Minister Albulen Haxhiu has been calling on MPs to vote on this bill, saying that, on the contrary, Kosovo fares badly in international reports.
The proposal was that doctors and professors also declare their wealth, but their declaration is not public. They are sensitive professions and they need to be declared their property. When you have such problems in various bills, they may come to the polls in the Assembly, but criticize one issue and then not challenge it. The Commission for Legislation has made public the statements of the wealth of university professors. It's taking our time and it shouldn't be so unserious.
It's a joke to Kuwait and its citizens. The demand for third reading or the Commission is unstable and unreasonable. Trust me, it's important for the country to pass today. Please vote. If Kosovo does not pass then it will also go wrong in other reports that are preparing for the country”, Haxhi said.
