Kurti: With Scholz in Berlin and Biden in the White House we can revive the transatlantic Bridge

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, on a panel in Greece, has said there is great hope in the leadership of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his policies towards the Western Balkans. In this direction, he said that Scholz in Berlin and President Biden in Washington will breathe new reports. “Solutions for [...]
The resolution for the Western Balkans is certainly the European Union and by then we need the Berlin Process with a fresh start by Chancellor Scholz and I have great hope in his leadership. With President Biden at the White House and Chancellor Scholz in Berlin we can revive the transatlantic bridge that in the 21st century was more important than it was in the 20”.
Kurt made that statement while talking about listing Europe along Ukraine and refusing Serbia to rank on this side.
“One of the six Western Balkan countries did not join sanctions against Russia, our northern neighbour Serbia, but rather they have strong ties between themselves in the economy, army”.
Kosovo's prime minister said that to embrace European values, the Western Balkan region also needs help from Union itself.
We need help from abroad, but we need to bring European values forever, making democratic reforms as priorities towards democratic stability”.
Kurti said that at this time when unprotested aggression is taking place in Ukraine, there should be no place for neutrality in Europe.
We have condemned Russian aggression in Ukraine since the first day. From our point of view, what we see is Russian fascism... I believe Kremlin aggression in Ukraine has been a choice, but solidarity and humanity in Europe is not a matter of choice. It's our task”.
Kurti made these statements on a joint panel with Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic and former Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Zoran Zaev on the topic “Southeast Europe: Can there be stability and prosperity in the region?
Meanwhile, his speech began by praising Western achievements in Kosovo with the halting of war and Kosovo's own successes now.
Kosovo is a success story of NATO's 1999 intervention to stop Serbia's genocide and thus enable the return of refugees and rebuild our country. And second, Kosovo is a success story for economic growth and democracy”.
