Prime Minister Albin Kurti, after meetings with PDK and AAK representatives, along with Justice Minister Albula Haxhiu today have met representatives of the Roma, Ashkali, Egyptian and Turkish communities to discuss the Vetting process in justice.
At the meeting, attended by NDS head Emily Rexhepi, head of IRDK Elbert Krasniqi, KDP head Fikrim Damka, LPRK Chairman Srdjan Galushi and chairman of the EU PAI Etem Arifi, Kurti spoke of further steps regarding this process and the importance of joint co-ordination after the opinion accepted by the Venice Commission.
Representatives of political subjects of non-US communities expressed their support for the Vetting and reform process in justice.
The Kosovo government has adopted the concept-document for developing the Vetting process in the justice system, as well as preparing the draft constitutional amendments and the Vetting Bill on the justice system.
On June 17th 2022, the Venice Commission has approved the opinion of Vetting.
