Shala in an interview for Periscope points to difficulties from the start to the finalisation of the dream that a young man from Kosovo had.
He relates that before he started his studies at yetford, he asked for financial assistance so that his dream could be fulfilled.
The most difficult task has been to secure enough financial means. It has not been easy to decide with our family to seek help - even more so when there are people with far stronger reasons to help. I was the most reluctant of all of this to happen, but after being delayed by the family as well as by different professors from the faculty where I was finishing basic studies, we came to the conclusion that the opportunity to study at Oxford should not be lost. The help we have received from people of good will has been extraordinary, and I am extremely grateful to each”, he said.

Shala adds that in addition to helping society, he has had support from the Government and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
The support of Kosovo institutions has been enormous, even though bureaucracy has sometimes slowed the response process. However, I have accepted financial assistance from the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Information, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through sponsorisation from E Company. XFIS, as well as the Kosovo Presidency. I'm so grateful to everyone! ”, Shala added.
But, 22-year-old from Kosovo doesn't quit. He says he will also start medical studies at the University of Bristol, England, where he will be employed as an assistant, adding that he will continue to contribute to Kosovo.
In the next academic year 2022/23, I will start medical studies in mathematics at the University of Bristol, England, where I will also be employed as an assistant (actually English). Teaking assist. However, I will continue to make my modest contribution to Kosovo through volunteer work within the framework of the Kosovo Association of Mathematics, in organising the most important math training and competitions in Kosovo”, he told Periscope.

And, for the end, he also delivered a message to Kosovo youth.
My message to young people would be to learn and work as hard as possible in order to cultivate their passion. Even though leaving formalities is completely impossible, the work inspired by passion is worth much more than any artificial activity intended for acceptance at a university abroad. Thus, overseas study should be a consequence and not a goal in itself”, he concluded. /Iliriana Jaylan - PERISCOP
