Oil and arms were on the agenda of the meeting, exactly the opposite of climate chaos and peace and human rights issues, the European Parliament deputy said.
Summit organisers gave no details on the meeting between the French president and the efficient leaders of Saudi Arabia. Officials from Saudi Arabia said bilateral relations and issues of common interest will be discussed at the meeting.
The meeting was accompanied by criticism by left-wing politicians in France and Amnesty International.
