KED is doing intensive network maintenance this summer

We are aware that we have a difficult winter in terms of energy. Prices continue to be on a record level, while demand is on the rise.

Preventive measures must be taken to reduce this situation, just as virtually all the countries of the world are doing.

In order to prepare the best of the winter distribution network, the KDS has prepared an intensive plan to maintain medium-tensity lines that have begun during those days. Through the realization of this plan, it is designed to reduce the number of network disruptions from atmospheric factors or evental overloads.

Our workers are doing the cleaning of bags across the entire territory of the country, then changing damaged asset and reinforcement of the network where necessary is presented.

During the time of surgery on exits, interruptions may be hours long, since the transmission of the corresponding line should be revised completely, and this takes time. Since it is impossible to work under pressure because of danger, then planned disruptions are necessary.

KEDS publicly announces to all consumers via media and other forms of information, while directly sensitive consumers. Based on the plans we've made and we're proceeding with them, there won't be many interruptions. But this also depends on the state of the line. Our goal is to maintain higher standards and, besides the weather factors, to cope with the eventual overload as much as possible. So if an exit is in a heavier position, full maintenance takes more time.

This maintenance is being done just during the summer, when demand is lower, so that it can have as little impact on consumers' everydayity and its benefits to be maximum at the very time they need it most - during winter.
