US, Japan with joint exercises in tense region

Tens of F-22 planes from Air Force, four F-35 planes and 13 F-15 planes participated in the exercise, the Japanese Defence Ministry announced on Thursday.
These American planes were joined by 20 Japanese planes, F-15 and F-2.
American and Japanese combat aircraft flew over Japan's Sea sky, the Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea for better tactical skills and “capacity for joint response”, the Japanese Defence Ministry said.
This exercise was conducted to strengthen the ability of Japan alliance- The U.S.A. for response to”, says the announcement.
This week's exercises came as Air Force moved some of its main assets to Indo-Peacekeeping. /Periscopi/
