Republic of Kosovo government condemns roadblocks, shootings in northern Kosovo
Pristina, July 31st 2022
The government of the Republic of Kosovo strongly condemns today's roadblocks in northern Kosovo and shooting armed men of illegal structures there. It is a tendency to destabilise Kosovo and endanger the peace and security of our citizens and our country. Numerous aggressive acts have been held on the afternoon and evening of the promotion and prepared by official Belgrade.
Prime Minister Kurti, together with President Osmani and Deputy Prime Ministers Bislimi and Gervala, have held contacts and meetings with international American and European factors. In this case, the Government of Kosovo vows to postpone implementation of two decisions from June 29th 2022, until September 1st, 2022, from the moment on Monday, August 1st 2022, when all barricades will be removed and full freedom of movement on all roads in northern Kosovo will be established.
We thank international partners, in particular US Ambassador Jeffrey Havenier, for our commitment and contribution.
