EU energy ministers met in Brussels on Tuesday to discuss power supply in the middle of a Russian gas reduction.
Last week, the European Commission presented the plan “, Kurseni gas for a safe winter”, which urged the 27 member states to reduce their gas demand by 15% between August and March next year. This reduction is based on average gas consumption of countries over the same months over the past five years, CNN writes.
While German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has said that Europe will not be divided into coping with the gas shortage Russia is causing.
Russian company Gazprom has reportedly reduced gas supply to Germany for technical reasons. But Germany has said otherwise, denying there are technical reasons for reducing gas supply.
