Peter Stano has said the EU has received two reports in recent days that Petar Petkov intends to visit Kosovo. <x0)
Peter Stano has said the EU has received two reports in recent days that Petar Petkov intends to visit Kosovo.
The first procedure was not in line with the Official Visit Agreement, which regulates procedures for reporting and conducting official visits. The second announcement, however, was fully in accordance with the agreements, and therefore the visit should have been approved”, Stano said in a written statement to Tanjug.
The EU spokesman adds that official visits between Belgrade and Pristina play an important role in promoting normalisation of bilateral relations and understanding, and stresses that they should not be politicised.
“The EU calls on both sides to resolve all such disputes and misunderstandings with confidence in dialogue using the established communication channels of liaison officers. Both sides should respect all previous agreements and implement pending obligations, including those involving official visits”, Stano concluded.
