The embassy in response says they are eager to do everything for the programme to transform the energy sector in Kosovo.
“Congratulations on all involved in taking this important step towards more sustainable and inclusive economic growth for #Kosovo. We look forward to everything we will do through the MCC compact partnership to transform Kosovo's energy sector in the coming years”, the post says.
The Kompack programme will be the biggest investment in the energy sector in the Republic of Kosovo, worth $226.7m. Investments of the Kompact programme will be the property of Kosovo, and mark one of the most important co-operations between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States of America.
The programme will include three projects: energy reserves and arbitration (weights with capacity of 170 MW, offering 340 reserves MWh); development of the workforce and the inclusion of women in the energy sector, and the American Institute of Development Institute.
The first project consists of buying and installing high-powered batteries, which serve as energy reserves. The capacity of the energy accumulate system is expected to be the largest in Europe for head-to-heart, and marks one of the most innovative projects in the region and beyond.
