Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted after the Macedonian Parliament voted the French proposal paving the way for northern Macedonia and Albania to start negotiations on membership.
Rama has posted a photo with former Chancellor Angela Merkel, saying there is no obstacle to Albania's EU membership negotiations.
The negotiations on Albania's membership in the European Union no longer have any obstacle! The northern Macedonia Parliament has just lit the green light on the recent French proposal. Albania's absurd hostage has ended”, he wrote.
He has said the Albanian delegation will leave Monday in Brussels to start membership negotiations.
Albania's “delegation will be launched Monday in Brussels to start this new section of road, starting membership negotiations. We will also come to the top of this new piece of effort, getting closer to Albanians and aiming at the top where we will climb Albania”, Rama said, writing also “for the eater” at the end of the post.
