US consulate official Lulzim Krasniqi has sent a letter to Minister Gervalla in which he makes serious accusations against her after she has been cut off from her work contract, saying that she during her visit to his office had been told to remove the KLA flag from the office.
With the same hatred, during your visit to New York, in April of this year, you have ordered the removal of the KLA flag from the General Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo to New York. Despite this, I have placed that sacred flag in my office all the time.
With my departure, you can also remove him from my office, but the pride and war of the KLA can never get him out of Kosovo institutions, since The KLA is the very foundation of these” institutions, says his letter sent to Gervala.
He writes in this letter that this decision is unprecedented and not legal, saying it has numerous obligations that did not end there.
Thank you for the clarification, though it would be good if you had let me know the day I took the decision (on June 30th), since my many obligations here are not as simple as you think. Your decision is unprecedented along the overall functioning of the Republic of Kosovo Foreign Service. After all, it's anti-legal”, it was written.
He has said, among other things, that this decision closed the General Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo in New York because he has been the only person authorised to worship services.
With this decision, you have just closed all consular services in the General Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo in New York for citizens of the Republic of Kosovo -- those days when their service requirements peak. As a result, since I have been the only person authorized to provide services, this decision, starting today, has closed all accounts for the use of travel documents. Along with these accounts, unfortunately, every consular service was closed. You already have your responsibility for this”, it says in response.
Full response:
Your Honor. Gervailla,
Today I received an e-mail from MPJD Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Behar Ishmael, through whom I was known that my working relationship with MPJD ended on June 30, 2022.
Thank you for explaining, though it would be good if you had let me know on the day of my decision (June 30th), since my many obligations here are not as simple as you think.
Your decision is unprecedented along the overall functioning of the Republic of Kosovo Foreign Service. After all, it's illegal!
With that decision, you just closed all consular services in the General Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo in New York for citizens of the Republic of Kosovo -- those days when their service requirements peak. As a result, since I have been the only person authorized to provide services, this decision, starting today, has closed all accounts for the use of travel documents. Along with these accounts, unfortunately, every consular service was closed. You already have the responsibility for this!
With this arbitrary and unannounced decision, the Republic of Kosovo will also have financial implications. I have contracted a year's contract with the management of the rented building, in November of last year, always with the approval of the Secretary General, for which the Republic of Kosovo is obliged to honour this contract- pay the rent by then in a residence where no one lives. On the contrary, its disrespect is punishable according to US laws.
The arbitrary decision on immediate return violates all the rights of a diplomat and confirms your approach to the persecution of diplomats who have helped strengthen the state of Kosovo.
I was the only diplomat at the MPJD and the Diplomatic Service that owns the highest level of Spanish (C2) and has knowledge and connections to Latin America and Spain.
During this period, as career diplomat, all senior authorities in the Republic of Kosovo, and whoever was President, Prime Minister or Foreign Minister, I have helped them deepen and improve relations with these countries, especially in the realisation of a series of interviews with Spain's most prestigious newspapers.
Your decision to remove me from the Foreign Service is based on hatred and paranoia.
With the same hatred, during your visit to New York, in April of this year, you have ordered the removal of the KLA flag from the Kosovo Republic General Consulate in New York. Despite this, I have placed that sacred flag in my office all the time.
With my departure, you can also remove him from my office, but the pride and war of the KLA can never get him out of Kosovo institutions, since The KLA is the very foundation of these institutions.
And the evacuation of the KLA flag, which you, Mrs. Gervala, did not speak of as the flag of April that day. The NLA, but call it “fabled with characters”, is a great shame and is aimed at destroying institutions that you have successfully managed to do in the MPJD.
On behalf of this flag, many martyrs, including the US brothers Bytyqi, who, along with many Atlantic Battalion fighters, have left the well-being this country offered and have gone to Kosovo to free it from oppression, discrimination and genocide that the Serbian regime was exercising against us.
The removal of this flag is an insult to three graves of the Bytyqi brothers in Yonkers in New York and contempt for Atlantic Battalion warriors, just as it is insulting to all the country's warriors and martyrs.
I, of course, am replaced by other young and enthusiastic people, but the KLA flag cannot be replaced.
In this case, against your arbitrary and biased decision, I will complain to the Independent Council of Overseers, until the legal battle is lost, either there or in court, which the institution, along with other institutions in the country, is created with labor and sacrifice.
Personally, I'm proud of the work I've done in the United States, early in Panama and the MPJD, and I'm happy that I've created excellent reports with our community here, which doesn't know hatred of each other or party division, but which has been and is united, always in the interest of Kosovo.
