Red alert, issued Friday 10:29 on the Metropolitan Office website, explains that the level means <x0 national emergency>” It says that the alarm “is lifted when the heat wave is so severe or extended that it can have effects to the health and care system. At this level, deterioration and death can happen to healthy people, not only groups that are endangered”.
