Noecaj says one of the remarks the Venice Commission gives has to do with what the director of the State Bureau is elected by the Assembly of Kosovo, which, according to him, violates the part of independence because it is elected by a political body.
“Initiately one of the remarks the Venice Commission gives says the director is elected from the Kosovo Parliament, which means that we still don't have that part of independence because he is elected by a body that is political”, he told Tv1.
Prosecutor Noecaj stated that there are other institutions that the yoke from the Assembly of Kosovo and stresses that this does not guarantee the part the ruling party has most votes and selects a person who can go for good.
“The same as we have the case of other institutions which the yoke from the Parliament of Kosovo, but this does not guarantee that the ruling party has the majority of votes and selects one person who can only fit political party or government that is ruling” said Nocaj/
Noecaj said establishing the Bureau for Confiscating Unjustified Riches is more for political consumption, since it says it has been an electoral promise of Prime Minister Kurti.
This is more about political consumption because it has been an electoral promise of the government Kurti, but in reality in the justice system not only is it expected to change something or improve the situation on the ground”, he said.
