Selatina Novosella, who is now returning to the museum for the first time in Pristina prison, experienced it while still a minor.
He says there is nothing but memories and bad experiences from this country until he remembers one of the worst moments there.
I've been through all the physical torture meant to be. In a moment they said, or you'll accept what we're saying, or we'll pass through the radiator, bring the woman and rape her before you, he said.
Despite difficult times, Novosella, who was an associate of Adam Demac, says their sacrifice was worth it.
“The only comfort is the freedom of Kosovo. It was worth these sacrifices, and more than that”, according to him.
And Shaban Chupi, another former prisoner, shows that physical and psychic violence has been common in this country even when there was no reason. He says he only suffered because he wanted to touch his mother's hand during the visits.
I haven't been able to touch her hand. I touched my mother's finger once. There was a cost to that touch.
Besides violence and physical torture, Cup says they have attempted to kill their soul and ideal but have failed.
“They wanted to break spiritual food, here poetry was produced in an imaginary way. Here in the pencil was the matchline, burned, carbonized. On the paper was the cigarette wrapping that was inside. We have created literature under these circumstances. When we did not have what we read, we learned the poetry we had in that book”, he pointed out.
Now both Chupi and Novosella and many other former prisoners are entering this country without fear of getting out of there alive. This is after the former Pristina prison with its decision at the Ministry of Culture is opening the doors never to close again.
In addition to visiting cells and other prison parts, a mini exhibition of works reflecting the lives of Albanians in that prison carried out by prisoners themselves.
