Besarta Breznica, project co-ordinator, said the phenomenon of domestic violence continues to be disturbing.
This exhibition aims to freeze the awareness of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo regarding domestic violence and to inform them of the responsibilities that different government and non-governmental institutions have against them, for protection from domestic violence”, said Beserta Breznica, project co-ordinator.
She also said there are many cases of violence that are not being reported.
There are more than 2,000 cases of violence against women reported to the Kosovo police during 2021 alone. We believe there are more of these cases that have not been reported. Unfortunately, women still put up with violence”, Besarta Breznica said.
Bretnica has encouraged citizens to report violence and responsible institutions to work harder on the issue. /rtk
