veterans' clash with police, reflected in international media

KLA veterans clashed with police and broke into the Kosovo Assembly Court, RTKlive reports.

The Associated Press) news agency reported that hundreds of war veterans clashed with order forces Monday, where, through protest, they seek higher pensions. Referring to the police, The AP writes that at least three people are injured.

“International Monetary Fund and other financial institutions have warned that financially poor Kosovo, plagued by poverty and corruption, cannot afford to make higher profits for its war veterans”, writes Reuters.

Otherwise, protesters from the Association of Veterans in the Kosovo Liberation Army, during today's protest in Pristina, have tried to enter Kosovo's Parliament during the organised protest.

The veterans rejected their involvement in the draft salary law.

This was after the Kosovo Assembly continued its plenary session with unfinished agendas today. One of them was “the principle survey of the Bill No.08/L-142 for the change and fulfillment of laws that define the amount of employment at the height of the minimum wage, the procedures of the minimum wage assignment and tax steps in the annual personal income”.

However, for lack of quorum, the session was interrupted.
