But there appears to have been no shortage of tensions before his departure following the Bulgarian government's yesterday decision to reject the French proposal for the removal of vetous to northern Macedonia, voting and distrust of outgoing Prime Minister Kiril Petkov.
In a video caught just before the start of the summit as leaders greet each other, Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski talks with Bulgarian counterpart.
Kovachevski looks very serious and pointing finger at Petkov.
