Serhiy Hayday said that “a section of Ukrainian troops” now “have been pulled into more preparation positions” as other troops continue to fight inside the town of”.
“Evacuation is still suspended by Severodonetsk and is impossible to import humanitarian aid”, he said.
The nearest town, Lysychanks, is completely under Ukraine's control, but all parts of the Luhanks region are constantly under attack”, he added.
If Russian forces take control of Severodonnetsk, the nearby town of Lysychanks will be the only urban area in Luhansk to remain under Ukrainian control.
