Edi Rama participated this Tuesday in a meeting of Albanian and foreign experts, with farmers, agrigers, representatives from the Counseling Service and the country's Technology Transfer Centres, professors and students from the Agricultural University Tirana.
The prime minister said communication among producers in the country must increase. He took the example of cherry trees, saying that there are farmers who cannot sell cherry trees, while others make money with them. He stressed that there must be communication between them.
No one needs to hear us, just go see what others do. Some farmers come out and complain about the cherry trees they cannot sell, that would be disturbing if this were the case throughout the country.
But that is not the case, for others are successful. What's the difference between the two? Some throw their product away, some earn income in the same country?
What should I do here? First, those farmers have to take the trouble and go to them and say, how do you do this? The second, it is up to the ministry to create communication channels”.
Furthermore, Rama raised the alarm that because of the global crisis, a severe winter is being talked about, but according to him, at least currently, Albania is not on this list.
The crisis we have today before our eyes, was not created by us, nor can we stop it. It's a global crisis. Today we speak of a severe winter and severe shortages in some areas of the world where we are not involved right now. As well as increased energy and oil prices”, Rama said.
