Police investigators from the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption-Sector Corruption Investigations, following several months' investigation conducted in collaboration with the Special Prosecutor, under suspicion of misusing the Agency for Agriculture Development, today, in 29.06.2022, have organised police operation in several municipalities in the Republic that Kosovo (Peje, Istog, Decan, Suharke Year and Feriz). From this police operation so far have arrested and detained eleven suspected persons.
The detainees were allegedly involved in criminal acts: abuse of official office or authority, bribery, bribery, subsidies, compensating official documents and preventing evidence or official procedure.
Three of those arrested are official persons, while eight suspected persons are beneficiaries of subsidies, allegedly benefiting subsidies through bribery and counterfeiting documents.
After interviewing the suspects, more court decision by the prosecutor, the eleven suspects are sent to keep up to 48 hours.
