Michael for Kosovo's EU candidate status application: Normalise reports with Serbia

Council of Europe President Charles Michel has called for visa liberalisation and Kosovo's accession to the European Union.

European Council President Charles Michel has said that Kosovo can apply for candidate status for the EU, but certain conditions must be met -- the first one, the agreement with Serbia.

“Two elements -- the first one -- must have progress in the process of normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, obligations given to the two sides and agreements that have been made in the past must be implemented.

I understand that Kosovo aims to apply for candidate status, is the decision that should be taken by Kosovo authorities, then the process begins from the EU, there are formal procedures that must be met”, Michel said.. /Periscopi
