Kosovo doesn't want to observe on the second day of the Balkans summit

Today, the second day of the “Open Balkans summit” takes place. Leaders of the 5 Western Balkan countries have gathered yesterday in Ohrid for the upcoming meeting of the Balkan Open initiative. For the first time, they will participate as observers Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, represented by their prime ministers, Dritan Abazovic and Zoran [...]
The host of the meeting, Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, has welcomed the four leaders of neighbouring countries at a welcoming dinner. Of the 6 countries in our region, only Kosovo is missing. Prime Minister Albin Kurti has announced Northern Macedonia counterpart Dimitar Kovachevski that she refuses to attend this meeting, as she has said Kosovo remains committed to the Berlin Process.
Earlier, after arriving in Ohrid, Prime Minister Rama had a meeting with Prime Minister Abazovic and US Ambassador to Belgrade Christopher Hill, an early friend of Albanians.
Rama has written on Facebook that the participation of Azbalovic “formally introduced Montenegro into the Open Balkans. While Montenegro's prime minister wrote on Twitter: All the most important foreign policy partners are here. The Western Balkans have a place in the EU, and Montenegro as leaders in integration is willing to be a positive example in this” process.
Today the work begins with the respective speeches of leaders. Participants in Ohrid, will be directed through video connection and European Union Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhely, as well as US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar. With this step, they will prove that the “Balkan Open” initiative has the support of the EU as well as the American administration. The signing of four co-operation agreements is expected Wednesday; for the fight against tax evasion, recognition of higher education diplomas, cultural co-operation and co-operation in the area of tourism.
