This call comes after that of May 30th, where Izael warned his citizens not to travel towards Turkey because, as it were, Iranian threats to kill or kidnap Israelis.
Israel's Foreign Minister, Yair Lapid, said that a major “attempt by Israeli security forces had saved 19x2 Israeli nations in recent weeks” and thanked the Turkish Government for its contribution.
He didn't give any more details. An Israeli security official told Reuters that Turkey had arrested several <x0 potential” suspected Islamic Revolutionary Guard in Iran.
“We are urging Israelis not to fly to Istanbul ʹ and if you don't have a vital reason, don't fly to Turkey. If you are already in Istanbul, return to Israel as soon as possible”, Lapid said in a televised statement.
These terrorist threats are directed to Israeli vacationers. They are choosing, incidentally but deliberately, Israeli citizens with the intention of kidnapping or killing them”, he said.
I want to send a message to the Iranians from here. Anyone hurting the Israelites will not be able to escape. Israel will take them, no matter where they are”
Tehran has vowed to retaliate against Israel, which he blames for the May 22nd murder of Hasan Sayad Khodai, colonel of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard in Iran, who was shot to death at the wheel of his car by two motorcycles.
Israel neither accepted nor denied responsibility for charges of murder. Israel has accused Khoda of organising attacks on Israelites worldwide.
Turkey is a famous destination for the Israelis.
The two countries have improved their relations after more than a decade of tension.
