“As for the issue of arrests, I believe that we as the Government have demonstrated the political will that we have both legal obligation, and co-ordination with all institutions and important acts of order and justice in the function of degenerative phenomena and the elimination of the abuses that have occurred in this institution and therefore the principle and the law has no selective character, but that the arrests of these officials have become so frequent that they do not know whether we can always react to the arrests of officials who are mainly arrested for the period when we were not in government, he said.
These comments were made after the LDK MP, Armend Zemaj, quoted by Minister Peci, as having no reaction from institutions for yesterday's arrest of Vetevendosje Movement as suspected of misuse of subsidies.
