He said yesterday's afternoon has been relatively heavy for Podujevo farmers.
Bulqi said Agriculture Minister Faton Peci, today has visited some of the villages where they have seen the damage caused by the hail, but the exact amount of damage is not yet known.
He announced that a commission for the assessment of damages has been established and then expects the Ministry of Agriculture to compensate.
Yesterday's “afternoon was relatively severe for farmers in our municipality, where as a result of the bad weather which included dozens of villages in our municipality, caused relatively serious damage in agriculture, and certainly given the damages that have been caused, we joined the Ministry of Agriculture, Faton Peci, we were visiting some of these villages and closely saw the damage caused and we have created the commission on the assessment of damages and the same will be conveyed to the agriculture ministry and we expect the compensation done.
He said all cultures have suffered damage, but mostly corn, wheat, and potatoes.
All cultures have suffered enormous damage, in particular corn, wheat, then areas that have been planted with potatoes and gardens. In the photos available to you, you see that it is difficult to regenerate something, so the time period we are in is also hard enough to recover all the damage that has been caused. So I believe that the Ministry of Agriculture should necessarily come to the aid of these farmers”, Bulqi said in T7.
The first of Podujevo said farmers are disappointed and expect state support.
“Buyks are extremely disappointed and expect the state's support, because it's not easy for all the work that has been done for all these months, as a result of the bad weather to be destroyed. This is a warning to our institutions that the near futures work on establishing stations that warn such bad weather situations and freeze stations fighting hail”, Bulqi said.
