Borrell tells countries that did not condemn the Russian war: In the face of aggression, no one can be neutral

The Russian invasion of Ukraine was condemned by a great majority at the UN General Assembly (OKB). In all, 141 countries voted in favour of the sentence. Among the countries that declared neutral in connection with the war in Ukraine are some like China and India, which justified the path of dialogue as the main means of reaching a solution. From Brussels, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, has “pointed to” these “nuale” locations at the UN Security Council.
“Face aggression, no one can be neutral. Being neutral means being on the side of the aggressor. No one can live safely in a world where illegal use of force is normalised”, he said in a statement published by the “Europe Press”.
At the same time, Borrell defended the sanctions applied to the Russian economy, which are focused on vetoing imports and exports of raw products and materials, including gas anchors and oil from Russia.
On the other hand, Borrell has detailed that the EU has sufficient capacity to provide any kind of assistance to Ukraine, as well as to protect its people: “We call on all UN member states to help Ukraine by doing the same”.
He also had a recommendation for “nual” countries regarding the war between Ukraine and Russia: “I urge you to help end the war, restore the sovereignty of Ukraine and ensure that global consequences, especially the escalating food crisis, are suspended”.
Another key point of Borrell's address to the UN was Russia's blockade of Ukraine's grain exports. As a result of this blockade affecting many countries in the world, as Ukraine is the world's leading grain exporter, Borrell has assured that the EU has allocated aid to several African countries.
