European diplomacy chief Josep Borrell has said the European Union's sanctions aim to hit Russia's capacity to continue the war in Ukraine, while saying these wars cannot be allowed.
“They (sanctions) do not target wheat. Agricultural products and their transport are clearly excluded”, he wrote on Twitter.
Borrell said Russia is hindering the export of cereals with ours, while he said Moscow is dezinating.
Russia's continued “Blokada to Ukraine's ports is hindering the export of tons of grain, such as corn and wheat, currently blocked in Ukraine, one of the world's leading producers”, he wrote.
“Russia is directly responsible for any lack of cereals in international trade, and instead of ending its aggression, it is actively seeking to transfer responsibility over international sanctions. This is dezination”, the European top diplomat wrote.
He said the EU “would continue to show its complete solidarity” for addressing the consequences of this war worldwide and urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to end it.
President Putin must end his fight against Ukraine. Ukraine's territorial integrity must be restored. This is in the interest of the entire international community”, Borrell wrote.
The EU will continue to show it full solidity with accounts around the world in accessing the war conclusion. (4/5)
