Albanese praised relations with Indonesia and vowed to work in empowering them on his first trip since taking office last month, choosing the Asian country as the first stop in what has become a tradition for the new Australian prime ministers.
Australia's “Relations with Indonesia are the most important to us. We are not bound by geography alone, we are connected by choice”, Albanese said at a joint conference after the talks.
On the other hand, President Windo said good relations between the two countries would help in the “peace and prosperity of the region”.
