The Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus have intensified intelligence operations, establishing additional units in border areas in the Homel” region, Ukrainian General Staff said on May 23rd.
“Rresicus for missile attacks and air strikes from Belarus territory still stands at”, the report said.
After this statement from Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence of Belarus said it has started what it called a new “check-out” of military equipment to monitor the military's mobility and capacity.
Belarus has officially not participated in the war launched by Moscow against Ukraine on February 24th, but has allowed its territory to be used by Russian forces as territory to launch attacks on Ukrainian soil.
But as Belarusn President Alayksander Lucashenka and Russian President Vladimir Putin face international isolation, the two leaders met on May 23rd for the third time within the month.
The meeting in the Black Sea town of Soci focused on the war in Ukraine, while Lucaskena thanked the West for “promoting our development”.
