On Thursday strike, SBASK has an appeal for parents and students

The United Education and Science Union has announced that in the first class of teaching on 12 May, there will be a strike in the entire education system.

From this union, they have asked their parents to send their children an hour later to the nursery, and students to leave to arrive for the second class in time.

After the first hour of day's day at daycare, schools and universities will be a strike on May 12th, we appeal to loving parents and students, begging that on May 12th children at the nursery send an hour later compared to the schedule of the next day. Let children also go to school in time for the second class. We are doing this appeal and prayers to honored parents for the sake of your children's safety. We also seek understanding from students because the administration and the other staff on strike will be between 10 and 11”, the announcement said.

Honored parents and students, as you know, the SBASK has long been warning, along with other unions, that the Government of Kosovo has not responded to and expressed a desire for meeting and joint commitments.

Insisting not to be harmed, we organised the April 8 protest, which was a vacation day, and I expect the Government will understand reality and start with real dialogue, but this did not happen, and therefore, given the voice of membership, we are forced to continue with syndical action and one of them is one-hour strike on May 12th in the entire education system, from nests to Universite.

Let's engage and wish the Government can sincerely engage in that at meeting of the unions offer acceptable solutions to legitimate requirements so that there is no need for general strike protests, which the SBASK and other trade unions are preparing because that is the will and voice of membership.
