CNN reports that just minutes before the attack began, the gunman sent a message to a girl living in Frankfurt, Germany, announcing his plans.
The images of messages examined by the cable network seem to indicate how the suspect complains to the girl that his grandmother was speaking “on the phone with the [phone line] AT&T for his phone”.
“
CNN reports that six minutes later he returned a message to the girl saying: “I just shot my grandmother in the head”
A few seconds later, he added: “Now I'm going to shoot a gun in an elementary school”.
The last message was sent at 11:21 a.m. in Texas 11 minutes before the shooting started at school.
The girl told CNN that her 18-year-old spoke every day in FaceTime, and they also communicated through a live broadcast app called Yubo and on a game app called Plato.
Law enforcement sources have told US BBC partner CBS News that preliminary information suggests the gunman shot his grandmother in the face after arguing with him about a mobile phone bill.
