For more than a week, the Inseyder newspaper has asked the Ministry of Health, more specifically the Health Inspectorate understand how many clinics are in Kosovo performing aesthetic intervention? How many of them have prepared staff? How many are licensed? What does the State ask for a license? Is there control over how much prices they have?

No response has been accepted. Chief Health Inspector Shaban Osmanaj's task officer, said the event is not monitored by the Ministry of Health.

World visual change trends push many Kosovars to make aesthetic intervention. The country's left-wing botto intervention business has taken off and prices are high. Beyond what is doing business with this event, the same is currently completely out of control. An Insider research finds that these businesses neither license nor control the Ministry of Health, even though experts show that the event falls into the health field.

“Since institutions performing aesthetic service do not submit to licenisation from the Ministry of Health, then they are not subject to inspection by Health Inspectorate”, Isederin Osmanaj said.

Health inspectors confirmed that they have accepted complaints from customers about health injuries following the application of botox from various aesthetic centres. But they have no right to inspection.

“With state inspection reform, in January of this year, the law on inspection has been enacted, which envisions the creation of inspectors from various ministries, within the health ministry this law provides for the creation of the central health inspectorate agency, which means that pharmaceutical and Sanitary health inspectors will be rejected, and in the context of that, all other areas that are not covered at the moment that even fall into the aesthetic centers with a view to be located at the agency<, Osmanaj said.

The newspaper Inseyder has received an answer from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Trade. Confirm that 522 binzens are registered to carry out such treatments. Not giving any more details. They think that they have no control over them. “Business active with body maintenance activity is a total of 522 businesses”, MINT's written response reported.

Based on legislation on invasive procedures and the implants of various products in the organism can be carried out only by medical professionals.

The reason for not regulating this sensitive event by law is also emerging as a frequent change of power. So he at least said about Insyder, the chairman of the Oda of Doctors, the Sejdiu Plerat.

This fluid is not regulated by law and it's very chaotic. Unfortunately, because of frequent political changes in the Ministry of Health this law has not yet arrived in the Assembly. Now we are again in the same procedure of meeting this law where this article will again be put in law”, Sejdiu said.

Sejdiu mentions three profiles that may conduct aesthetic intervention.

Last “The OPC has proposed a special article through which this event will be adjusted. Commission members have accepted our proposal, where these proceedings will be authorised to do only to major surgeons, dermatologists and plastic surgeons”, the chairman of the Kosovo Medical Association has declared.

That the work of these aesthetic centers and clinics is not being monitored by anyone even confirmed by the Health Inspectorate, within the Ministry of Health.

Because the institutions that perform aesthetic service do not submit to licenisation from the Ministry of Health, then they are not subject to inspection by Health Inspectorate”, Insederin Shaban Osmanaj, deputy in the task of chief health inspector, said.

The newspaper Insander on the problem of this law also spoke with the member of the Commission for Health and Social Goodness, Andmen Zemajn. Tell him about the suggestions he has made.

“In the new Health Law, which I have proposed in the name of signatory deputies, regulates this area in the way it should be regulated as procedure that ensures that only professionals of these leaves can provide this important service not only for aesthetics but also for the maintenance of the patient's health”, Zemaj told Inseder. Zemaj said they expect positive answers from the government, respectively, for this law to get support.

Two weeks ago it was sent to Government for an opinion, there is no specific response, as many shortcomings are eliminated and some are advanced. We expect the government and the OW to return positive answers. Otherwise we continue with the legislative procedure, of course we need the support of the majority”, he warned.

“Nize the day with a beautiful transformation of the lip nose”, this is one of the ways companies are luring their clients to apply bonds. But did you think it might cost you to look beautiful?

Until this area is regulated by law, this event is also being implemented in Kosovo's Ondululation Salons. That is what Dermatology specialist Dafina Krasniqi told Inseder and health journalist Bujar Vitija.

Krasniqi spoke of the danger these treatments pose when carried out by non-professional people. She has another call.

The radio and filling applications are now offered to me in many aesthetic centers, and there are cases that there are lower - price offers for these services. So I appeal to people who want to appliance these treatments to be careful with their bodies and to look to the people as they are, those who have to do with medical professions, not onducation halls”, Krasniqi said of the Inseder.

Allowed to deal with aesthetics now for four years, Krasniqi shows what are the potential consequences when the process of applying botox or filler is carried out by non-professor.

“When botox or other fillings application processes apply to people not adequate the consequences may be huge. They have minimal side effects and they happen in one of five patients”, explains the specialist.

These are the dangers posed by non-professional botox applications

Dr. Krasniqi talks about the risks.

The most common risks include: Onions, bruises, or rashes. Unrecognized view of the human eye as too much wrinkle correction or anything that leads to a big change. Dead skin cells because of the minimum blood flow in the treatment area. The damage to the skin that could lead to infection, the turbulent Shikim wound”, she said as she called for increased care.

That "freezerkats" are conducting aesthetic intervention, says health journalist Bujar Vitija.

Aesthetic interventions are disturbing to the fact that not always being performed by the adequate professional. We in Schneta Journal reported earlier on initial interventions even in the Ondululation Salons or éfrezerkats. This is disturbing and dangerous”, the journalist for Insider said.

Vite mentions another problem.

However, there are other interventions, for example, dentists do surgery that are not called for the job, while plastic surgeons and dermatologists treat many patients on aesthetic issues that, in some cases, may even endanger the health of patients”, the Year says worried. It was for such fraud that people who perform non-licensed health services in March, the Kosovo Police, in collaboration with the Tax Administration, conducted a raid on private administration “Vaten Med”.

The explanation case for Insider provided journalist Vitija as she spoke with concern about the aesthetic interventions being conducted by licensed people.

“Even planting hair is one of the issues of concern in this regard. The latest case is the VatanMed clinic, which was discovered by the Health Inspectorate that it had brought people from Turkey as professionals but that none of them were licensed by the Health Ministry”, Vitija said.

The year says that agencies, clinics and hospitals that are licensed by the Health Ministry should be monitored directly by the health inspectorate.

Although by the Health Inseder Inspectorate, it is not under their jurisdiction to oversee aesthetic interventions. The year says the latter should be attentive to the event.

Subservative Health Inspector, of course, should also oversee institutions that are not licensed but do health services. Botox, initial, hair planting, and other aesthetic methods should be regarded as medical services and therefore must be subject to health instalment”, he added.

“Because contrary to who wants and who gives responsibility in cases when a foreign professional performs similar services and is not licensed at all. In the case of some mistake or injury to a patient, who takes responsibility? The professional can freely leave the country and take no responsibility for the patient. It happened in the past. The Ministry of Health certainly should add the capacities of the Health Inspectorate, not only on this issue but also on other”, has declared the Year for Inseder.

Journalist Vitija says the number of inspectors is insufficient to cover all licensed health institutions, much less unlicensed or services that are performed contrary to the law.

The new law, passed in the Kosovo Assembly by 18.01 2022 that envisions and preemptive vitamin, dietal and cosmetic inspections with therapeutic action, is in the phase of creating the legal assistance base to regulate this inspection field as well.

But what exactly is botox?

Botox as a pharmaceutical product was approved by the FDA, the Food and Barnat Administration, in 2002. During 1997-2006, about 16 deaths were reported due to the use of this product.

The liquid Botox is produced in the laboratory and taken from a bacterium called “Clostridium botulinum”.

The liquid (botox) is injected into the tiny facial muscles, remains in the area, and does not move into other areas of the body, and effects gradually tend to fade naturally over a period of three to six months.

The side effects of botox use are: Muscle weakness, vision problems, speech problems, or swallowing problems, and loss of bladder control.
