Secretary - General NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, will meet with the ambassadors of Finland and Sweden on Wednesday, a NATO statement said.
The meeting comes after the two countries declared their intentions to apply for NATO membership earlier this week.
Finland, Sweden to submit their application for NATO on Wednesday, Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson said during a joint press conference with Finnish President Saul Niinistö in Stockholm.
Leaders are later scheduled to meet with US President Joe Biden on Thursday.
