Former Russian president's groom resigns as Putin's adviser

Valentin Yumashev, son-in-law of former Russian President Boris Yeltsin, has resigned in April as Vladimir Putin's adviser, Reuters reports, citing two sources close to the adviser. Ludmila Tellen, deputy director of the Presidential Centre Boris Yeltsin (an institution in which Yumashev is a board member), told Reuters that Yumashev had resigned as an adviser to the Kremlin in April.
Asked about the reason for his resignation, she said “was his” initiative.
The second person from his circle, who spoke on condition of anonymity, also confirmed that Yumashev resigned in April.
