Basically, if your shoes or clothing prevent you from using vehicle controls properly, you may have trouble.
If a police officer stops you and considers your shoes inappropriate, you will be punished with reasoning about driving the vehicle carelessly and with proper attention.
The sentence comes with a fixed fine of 100 pounds along with minus three points on your driving license.

According to the Agency of Rule Standards, your driving shoes should be:
Have a heel no thicker than 10 mm;
Not too thin or soft on the nails;
Make sure that it is sufficient to stop the foot slip from the pedals;
not be very heavy.
Do not limit ankle activity;
Do not be embarrassed to avoid the accidental oppression of two pedals at the same time.
