Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli has announced Kosovo Assembly deputies for the agreement reached days ago between the Government of Kosovo and the MCC.
Rizvanolli stressed that this agreement, the Kompact programme amounts to over $200m for Kosovo energy security and transition to a cleaner energy future.
The “following the negotiated agreement with the MCC over the past week has proposed a Kompack programme, worth $202m. Under the negotiated agreement, the proposed draft will be financed $202m by the MCC, while the rest will be co-financed by the Kosovo Government. This government has the main responsibility for monitoring and managing the programme. With a preliminary consent of the MCC, the government will appoint an autonomous entity in line with the Law for Freedom of Association in nongovernmental organisations, which the subject will be responsible for implementing the programme. The programme's first objective is to maintain energy that will support Kosovo energy security and transition to a cleaner energy future”, she stressed.
