This, New Kosovo Alliance leader (AKR) Behgjet Pacolli called it a historic decision.
He said that today is more important than ever for Kosovo to become part of this military alliance.
The request of Finland and Sweden for NATO membership is historic decisions and leadership testified that, regardless of their principles, they hear the will of the people for safer borders. Today it is more important than ever that Kosovo becomes part of this military alliance”, Pacolli wrote on his Facebook account.
By contrast, Sweden, which was a neutral state even during World War II, has remained outside military alliances for more than 200 years, even though it has created close reports with NATO since the 1990s.
Russia has warned that the membership of Finland and Sweden will be followed in response to Moscow.
