At this forum, Kurti was told he talked to the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) for investments of over $200m in the energy sector.
This is his first appearance after he returned to Kosovo yesterday, following a 20-day visit to the United States of America and Switzerland.
I have the pleasure of opening this diaspora business forum. I hope they will link partnerships with Kosovo and the diaspora. I came back from America in two weeks. During the visit, we negotiated agreements with the MCC on investing over $200 million in the energy sector. We talked about ways to advance agriculture. We presented economic achievements in Kosovo”, he said.
He also said that Kosovo's economic interests have been introduced to Davos, Switzerland.
I also introduced economic interests to Davos. Kosovo is the most democratic state. We are ranked first in the Balkans for rule of law. We've been set up for 17 countries for the international index. The year 2021 has been economic development of 10.5%. We have also followed an increase in exports 83.6%, increased foreign direct investment 22%. When they see no corruption, citizens are willing to pay taxes. We created 25 thousand new jobs”, he said.
