He has declared that the current government is sluggish and depressive, so it has been deemed necessary to create an alternative to what good governance should be like.
“The creation of a shadow government, the creation of the Good Governance Cabinet against others, is a status duty that we as a party are obligated to do as we are opposed. After more than a year of this sluggish and depressing governance, as I have said, it has become necessary that we build an alternative platform of what governance should look like, but also how the future government” must be structured, Krasniqi said in Klan Kosova.
He has said the PDK has been struggling for more than two years to build vision and offer this alternative.
“As the leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Kosovo in more than two years has striven to, despite limits at specific times such as the pandemic to build vision and offer this option, provide this colorability in relation to the current government. But, already through the Cabinet for Good Governance we will also offer the concrete alternative to all areas and all dictatorships and policies that we really consider necessary and missing in Kosovo”, Krasniqi said.
Krasniqi suggests that all the creation of this initiative came after internal reflection in the PDK and finalising a broad discussion with foreign people.
“During the period when we've been opposition for more than two years we have a moment after a moment for internal reflection, what we recognize is that we believe it is we've thought about the future. This initiative comes after a fulfillment and finalisation of a broad discussion not only inside The PDK is also with the outside people we've discussed this whole process. Within our own potential, there will be figures and PDK officials who will deal with the leadership of these departments, but there will be other people capable of leading with relevant departments”, he said.
However, not all departments have leaders, so the first meeting of this cabinet is expected to be held late next month.
Some specific appointments will arise soon. Most of the names and departments are known for who's going to lead, while for two-to-three departments there are names we're discussing and I would like them to lead them. But it remains because of commitments that within two or three weeks these appointments will also be finalised.
“THE CEC can start meetings right now, but the people in it think they need a gradual presentation. As soon as we finish these appointments and the names of all departments are discovered, Krasniqi said, by the end of next month, will be held.
