Mission NATO operating in Kosovo has organised the “exercise FROZEN SABRE” that has been implemented in the air field training area in Gjakova.
“Maintaining high alert by carrying out such training events represents one of the means KFOR allows for a flexible and visible approach on the ground. In this way, the NATO-led mission in Kosovo can immediately address any development that can affect the safe environment. KFOR, in line with the principles of UN Resolution 1244, continues to help preserve a safe environment and ensure freedom of movement for all people and communities in #Weare NATO”, KFOR has written on Facebook.
KFOR is the multinational NATO force comprised of about 3700 soldiers from 28 contributing nations willing to intervene in all of Kosovo with kinetic and non-tic assets.
“The training scenario consisted of mob events and riots, including roadblocks, which led to worsening freedom of movement and threatened the safety of the local population”, the report said.
